The Canicula is the 40 day period in summer that is the hottest. Old timers have been saying that for as long as WE can remember.
Now WE are in OUR 50s and are transitioning into the new old timers.
Today is day 39. A Sunday. 30% chance of rain. In most places that is a solid shot. Not in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas! 10% is a more significant possibility.
The Canicula will hopefully end peacefully. WE hope it does not rain. OUR poor little old house has many leaks. Sprinkles of rain are fine.
WE await Day 40 which will be a Monday. Mondays can be insane!
